Tsakhkazard 2023
Culture embodies the spirit of people, weaving together language, music, dance, history, and traditions. We can keep the Armenian identity alive by preserving and passing on our cultural heritage, especially for the generations growing up in the Diaspora. We’re thrilled to witness many fellow Armenians sharing this belief as they joined us, along with their children, at the 1st annual kids festival –Tsakhazard Kids Festival in Glendale.
On April 2, Oolik successfully hosted the first-ever festival for Armenian children in California, attracting over 5,000 attendees. This joyous event revolved around Tsakhkazard, a beloved holiday also announced as a day of blessings for children. Verdugo Park was the backdrop for a unique celebration, blending art, history, science, and sports. Children from various educational institutions and talented dance and music groups from the community took to the stage, showcasing their skills and passion. The festival featured engaging thematic booths where children had the chance to explore the latest technologies, collaborate with nutrition experts to create delicious meals, unleash their creativity through drawing, and enjoy the company of beloved cartoon characters.
The day ended with the decoration of the Tree of Life, symbolizing the essence of Palm Sunday. Words can hardly describe the energy and enthusiasm that filled the air—singing, dancing, recitations, paintings, theatrical performances, scientific experiments, handicrafts, and countless other sources of entertainment made the day truly unforgettable.
Մշակույթն իր մեջ ամփոփում է տվյալ ժողովրդի ոգին՝ ներկայացնելով լեզուն, երգը, պարը, պատմությունը, ավանդույթները: Մշակութային ժառանգությունը պահպանելով ու փոխանցելով է հնարավոր վառ պահել հայկական ինքնությունը՝ հատկապես Սփյուռքում ծնված ու մեծացող սերունդների շրջանում:
Ուրախ ենք, որ մեր այս մտքերը կիսում են մեր շատ հայրենակիցներ, ովքեր իրենց երեխաների հետ միասին մասնակցեցին հայ մանուկների համար Կալիֆորնիայում կազմակերպված առաջին փառատոնին:
Ապրիլի 2-ին տեղի ունեցավ մանուկների համար առաջին փառատոնը, որին ներկա էր ավելի քան 5000 մարդ: Այն նվիրված էր ամենասիրելի տոներից մեկին՝ Ծաղկազարդին, որ հայտարարված է նաեւ որպես մանուկների օրհնության օր։ Վերդուգո այգում կայացավ մշակույթի, պատմության, գիտության ու մարզաձեւերի յուրատեսակ տոնախմբություն. բեմից հանդես եկան համայնքի տարբեր կրթօջախների, պարային ու երաժշտական խմբերի սաները:
Միջոցառումն ամփոփվեց Ծաղկազարդի խորհրդանիշ՝ Կենաց Ծառի զարդարումով: Օրը լի էր աննկարագրելի էներգիայով և ոգևորությամբ՝ երգ, պար, ասմունք, նկարչություն, բեմականացումներ և գիտական փորձեր, ձեռքի աշխատանք և բազմապիսի այլ զվարճանքներ։
